District Health Information Management System (DHIMS)2 Digitization

USAID, the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and Samsung Corporation continue to support the digitization of Ghana’s district health information system in collaboration with GHS. The partnership seeks to roll-out an updated Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) e-tracker to improve the accuracy of data collection, and increase data utilization for planning and budgeting purposes. Samsung’s Creative Lab has played a key role refining the application to incorporate data collection needs and improve ease-of-use for frontline workers. FY 2017 obligations are set, as Samsung will procure the digital tablets for the CHPS compounds, and USAID will support the e-tracker rollout through technical assistance at the programmatic level and train the CHPS health officers.
