Status
Active
Region
Africa
Description
The goal is to implement a system to register all pregnant women in the public health system in South Africa to receive standardized health promotion messages (estimated at 1 million per annum). This will be achieved by implementing inter-operable services allowing different mobile health service providers to collaborate in populating a national electronic pregnancy registry (NEPR). Three mobile health workflows will be strengthened and extended: 1. Registration for antenatal care services and validation of pregnancy 2. Identification of pregnant women and promoting clinic attendance 3. Subscription to health promotion messaging
